Travel Town Museum makes party planning easy and convenient. Each reserved train car is equipped with all the essentials for a successful celebration or meeting. You’ll find tables and chairs readily available, along with a refrigerator-freezer to keep refreshments cool and food fresh. Regardless of the Los Angeles weather, your guests will be comfortable thanks to the included air conditioning and heating systems.
Two different train cars are available to suit your party size:
- The Pennsylvania Dining Car (Brown Car): This charming car comfortably accommodates 20-30 guests, ideal for slightly smaller gatherings.
- The Southern Pacific Car (Green Car): For larger parties, the Southern Pacific car can host 30-40 people, ensuring everyone has space to celebrate.
Party reservations are essential and should be made in advance to secure your preferred date and time. The rental fee is $200.00 for a 3-hour period. This includes a $50 refundable cleaning/damage deposit and a $150 basic rental fee. The 3-hour window encompasses your setup, party time, and cleanup, so efficient planning is key to maximizing your event.

Please note that a $75.00 cancellation fee applies. However, Travel Town understands that unforeseen circumstances can occur. In the event of rain, a full refund will be provided. To qualify for a refund due to rain, it’s crucial to contact the Travel Town office to cancel before the end of your scheduled party day. Failure to notify Travel Town will result in the reservation being considered a no-show, and the cancellation fee will be applied. Rescheduling requires revisiting the lapark.org/traveltown website and completing the reservation process again.
