*It’s important to note that the UC Personal Travel Insurance Program is available as a purchase option for employees, students, retirees, alumni, and their travel companions for personal travel purposes. This program is separate from any employee benefits provided by the University, and the University does not endorse or recommend it over other travel insurance options. As with any commercially available travel insurance, purchasing a policy through this program means the traveler is responsible for premium payments, utilizing travel assistance services, and directly managing any claims or coverage concerns with the insurance provider.
Please be aware that the UC Personal Travel Insurance policy has an annual renewal date of September 1st. There may be periods where the enrollment portal temporarily restricts enrollments for travel dates after August 31st, pending the finalization of the renewal contract between UC and the insurer.
